It won't launch anything, not even the base game.. That's a first. Try locating the executable: right M2TW in your library, choose 'properties' If it is not present then on the same Steam tab click 'verify integrity of game cache' and wait until the check and download has finished.

Reboot. 2) If Steam loads automatically, go to the word Steam in the menu click it, then click exit. 4) Right click, select run as administrator to put steam in admin safe mode. 5) Now download and install Medieval 2.
23 Ιουν 2017 · Go to the folder of medieval, right-click on properties, then compatibility. Now select using compatibility mode for Windows Vista (Version 2??) as well as launching as administrator. Now only launch from there (make a new shortcut to desktop, delete the steam shortcut).
21 Αυγ 2016 · when I enter game via steam nothing shows up so I try opening folder and enter via medieval2.exe it says the application was unable to start correctly 0xc00007b

(In Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\logs) They do not tell me anything but what I already knew - "Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error". I have no idea what to do at this point.
10 Σεπ 2023 · Hi, I've encountered a very strange bug and have no idea how to fix it. When trying to load ANY savegame from the menu screen nothing really happens apart from the cursor changing to an hourglass. No loading screen whatsoever just the hourglass icon. I've already tried veryfing files through steam, but nothing seems to help.
