1 Οκτ 2024 · TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida State Fair is already gearing up for its 2025 event. The theme for the 2025 fair is ‘Let Your Fun Shine’ and, for the first time, a mobile app highlighting attractions, new fair food, agricultural events, exhibits, and more, will be available to fairgoers.
The Daily Routine of Death Row Inmates. Death Row & Death Watch Cells: A Death Row cell is 6x9x9.5 feet high. Florida State Prison also has Death Watch cells to incarcerate inmates awaiting execution after the Governor signs a death warrant for them. A Death Watch cell is 12x7x8.5 feet high.
Executions of Women. In general, both the death sentencing rate and the death row population remain very small for women in comparison to that for men. Actual execution of female offenders is quite rare, with only 576 documented instances as of December 31, 2022, beginning with the first in 1632.

Andrea Hicks Jackson. BF, born 2/26/58, was sentenced in Duval County on 2/10/84, for the murder of a Jacksonville police officer. She shot the officer five times when he tried to arrest her on 5/17/83 for filing a false report about a vandalized car. She was the first woman in Florida to have her death warrant signed, which occurred on 3/7/89.
