23 Δεκ 2021 · SACRAMENTO—State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond today announced plans to build a statewide mentoring program to help all California students and is calling for participation from mentoring organizations in the state that would like to be part of the initiative.
MENTOR CALIFORNIA’S mission is to fuel the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships for California’s young people and to close the mentoring gap.
Current peer mentors and mentees, aspiring peer mentors and prospective mentees, and organizers/facilitators of peer mentoring programs can all find helpful tips to foster healthy and effective mentoring relationships to best support themselves and other youth.
Search for a Local Mentoring Program. Search the Mentoring Connector database below by entering your information and choosing “Find a mentor for myself or someone else” under the “What are you looking to do?” question to find a variety of programs in your community.
Improve evidence-based mentoring practices through no- and low-cost technical support, training, and evaluation services to the mentoring field, based on research-based best practices. Connect potential mentors and mentees to appropriate mentoring programs.
