Our Power Mentoring program connects high school students from Dallas and Richardson ISD with engaged volunteers for the academic school year. Mentors will help students succeed by preparing them for graduation and the various paths they can take after attaining their high school diploma.
Power Mentoring. During the mentoring sessions, mentors meet with mentees to listen and encourage students to talk about issues they are currently facing. Mentors will also meet the mentees after or during school as needed. Learn More.
A HOPE Mentor participates in training to learn essential skills and processes to help build a girl’s self-esteem, help her become a stronger leader, and help her set and achieve goals. HOPE Mentors understand they are to support the girl, not parent, judge, or control her life.
Mentees aren’t passive receptacles to be filled by a mentor, but active partners in the learning process. They initiate discussions, bring their questions, contribute their knowledge, and set the direction and duration of their mentoring relationships.

31 Αυγ 2023 · Journey Forward Mentoring contributes to building lasting communities by ensuring that each student can achieve their best potential and become a source of inspiration for generations to come. Interested mentors must be willing to meet with students on average twice a month for 30 to 60 minutes.
Journey Forward Mentoring, formerly Leadership Forward Mentoring Program, is a mentoring organization focused on encouraging and supporting Dallas high school and postsecondary students to excel academically, professionally and, ultimately, in our communities.
