University Mentorship is a voluntary, selective program for first-year students which means students must apply to the program and be selected. Incoming, enrolled first-year students are eligible to apply online and will receive an email inviting them to apply.

Affinity Mentoring’s model provides individual, one hour per week mentoring with trained, safe, supportive adults to support the growth of leadership and social-emotional skills, as well as math and literacy skills.
School-Based Mentoring Services. IMAGINE partners with schools to provide an enhanced version of the Group Mentoring program to support their female students. Mentoring services can be customized based on the needs of the school and the mentees.
The Standards are in place in order for youth to receive the most beneficial and productive results from a mentoring relationship. The Standards are not meant to certify or accredit mentoring programs. They provide a planning and assessment framework that raises the bar for mentoring programs.
Mentees can expect to incorporate mentorship into their normal student life —it's a program designed to make the transition into the University of Michigan easier by offering opportunities for resource sharing, community, and skill-building designed not to compete with other commitments.
