Peer Mentors are here to help you transition academically and socially to your new life at Texas State University. The First-Year Peer Mentoring program provides you with an embedded upper-class undergraduate in your University Seminar course.
Our undergraduate mentoring program offers perspectives from the professional world to give guidance, counsel, and networking opportunities. Serving juniors and seniors, the program uses an online platform to match mentor and mentee experience, interest, and needs.
At Texas State, all first-year students receive a peer mentor as part of their PACE experience. To help students academically and socially transition to Texas State, PACE Peer Mentors are upper-class students placed in University Seminar and provide in and out of classroom support.
The mentors in return can share firsthand experiences with our graduate students and better prepare them in leadership education, experiential learning, and help to advance their career paths. We welcome and invite you to become a mentee in our program.
