12 Νοε 2002 · Bolt in turbo kit for the Miata. You get the turbo (mitsuishi TD-04H), GReddy exhuast manifold, aux. fuel regulator and hose, clamps, etc. You'll need and HKS elbow (or entire powerflow intake) as the GReddy tubro out of the box tends to pop off the stock intake system under boost.
23 Απρ 2022 · These kits are available with either high end Garrett GT turbos, BW EFR turbos, or universal T25 5 bolt flanges. Pricing starts at $947 for downpipe/manifold via Kraken . (My full kit, including: intercooler, full exhaust, and injectors was ~$4000.)
Expect 30-40 hp gain. No engine management system comes with the kit. Engine management with the stock kit involves simply retarding the timing to 6 deg, and adding an additional fuel pressure regulator. (Search for "Bipes" or "E Manage" for additional mods).
If you are still interested in fitting a GReddy turbo to a 1.8L, do a search for darth maulta's setup or check out his website here. What does the base kit do for me? The base kit will give you somewhere in the ballpark of 125-135 rwhp (see dyno here ) assuming no other modifications.
12 Αυγ 2007 · I decided on the Greddy turbo kit as I can't see me going past about 200bhp (time will tell ), it's an all-in-one package which uses a Mitsubishi TD04 turbo so you can, if you want, put it on straight out the box and drive off, and it is available in the UK for a reasonable amount of money.
All GReddy Turbo and Turbo Upgrade kits exclusively use GReddy Spec. Mitsubishi turbo chargers. Greddy turbo kits are design and tested to match the best-sized turbo per application. This means you get good response, smooth driveability, performance that can still be upgraded, and lasting reliability.
14 Φεβ 2014 · Recently finished rebuilding a 99 miata 1.8L BP2 engine with a turbo. Low compression Supertech pistons and manley rods. Cheap Wansmoke $1600 turbo kit. I regularly boost up to 8lbs but the turbo says it can handle 12-15 on a smaller engine. Long story short, I don't recommend just slapping a turbo on a stock engine.
