The base GReddy kit was designed to add some oomph to the stock 1.6L Mazda Miata so we wouldn't be outrun by minivans. =) It came with all the parts necessary to run 4.5psi of boost. It was put together as a low boost kit built around the Mitsubishi TD04H-15G turbo.
Engine management with the stock kit involves simply retarding the timing to 6 deg, and adding an additional fuel pressure regulator. (Search for "Bipes" or "E Manage" for additional mods). At stock boost levels the 1.6 engine takes to FI like a duck to water, and is very reliable.
12 Αυγ 2007 · Before fitting the turbo manifold you should 1st drain the oil from the engine, then undo the small bolt on the engine block which is where you attach the braided oil feed line. Once you've done that you can go ahead & fit the manifold, i got mine with the relief cuts already done.

7 Νοε 2022 · It's not "garbage" but it's honestly pretty close. The only reason someone would use that kit now is the carb sticker. There's likely someone who would buy the whole kit. Go ahead and do as others have suggested and buy a intercooler and then a computer and injectors.
12 Νοε 2002 · 4.5-5 psi turbo kit for NA6 Miatas. Kit included: exhaust manifold, turbo unit, intake pipes, airfilter, nuts and bolts, oil lines, gaskets, instructions 9in Japanese, fuel pressure regulator, fuel lines, and vacume hoses. Over all I'm satisfied with the product. Took about 10 hours of easy work to install.
