The base GReddy kit was designed to add some oomph to the stock 1.6L Mazda Miata so we wouldn't be outrun by minivans. =) It came with all the parts necessary to run 4.5psi of boost. It was put together as a low boost kit built around the Mitsubishi TD04H-15G turbo.
A lot of guy have put them on high mileage cars and run them for just as long with no trouble. The engine was designed to handle boost from the factory - used on the 323 turbos. check out miataturbo.net, 3/4 of the users run the greddy kit and can be more helpful.

21 Σεπ 2023 · Reply. Drogdar • 1 min. ago. Get on miata turbo dot net. It probably has an FMU and doesn't have an IC because its running low boost (like, under 10 psi). You basically have two options (assuming you have a stock ECU): leave it alone, it's been reliable so leave it alone.
