The licensing authority may charge a fee not to exceed $1.00 for the cost of providing the copy. The licensee may carry, use, possess, and transport the pistol for 30 days beginning on the date of purchase or acquisition only while the licensee is in possession of a copy of the license.

A License to Purchase is not needed for anyone with a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License, if your buying from a licensed dealer, for firearms dealers purchasing from wholesalers, or for relics, curios, antiques, etc., not made for modern ammunition.
