Your system currently has an older version of Java and you are receiving this update notification because a newer version has been automatically detected. This release addresses security concerns. Oracle strongly recommends that all Java SE users upgrade to this release.
Just remembered! OJDKBuild still provides x86 Java 8 builds for Windows XP and later: https://github.com/ojdkbuild/ojdkbuild. The latest version, currently, is Build 322 and should work just fine on XP.
