"Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center" cannot detect a Microsoft device connected to your computer, even though I am using a working original Microsoft keyboard. Surface Pro 11 X Plus. Original detachable keyboard (not the bluetooth one). Keyboard works fine, I can set everything up in regular windows settings.

However, they're still supported by an older version of Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.3 on Windows 7, or the earlier version IntelliPoint 8.2 and IntelliType Pro 8.2 software on Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.

Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center does not start with Windows. Therefore, none of my programmed buttons (including the favorites buttons) work until I manually start Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. This happens on both my computers, one running W8 and the other W7. I have the latest version of Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center installed.
