The Human Cell Atlas consortium aims to characterize all cells in the healthy human body and has prioritized lung tissue as one of the flagship projects. Here, we present the rationale, the approach, and the expected impact of a Human Lung Cell Atlas.
21 Νοε 2023 · The human lungs are a pair of spongy organs within the thoracic cavity that facilitate gaseous exchange. They are a part of the respiratory system, which also includes the nose, nasal sinuses, mouth, pharynx, larynx, and trachea.
13 Ιαν 2021 · Single-cell RNA sequencing of approximately 75,000 human lung cells from all lung compartments has allowed the generation of a molecular cell atlas. Histological data have been an...
6 Ιαν 2024 · The function of the lungs is to oxygenate blood. They achieve this by bringing inspired air into close contact with oxygen-poor blood in the pulmonary capillaries. In this article, we shall look at the anatomy of the lungs – their anatomical relations, neurovascular supply and clinical correlations.
15 Μαρ 2024 · A schematic of the human lung, highlighting the anatomic regions within the respiratory system. Proximal airways contain a complex mileu of epithelial cells that are supported by vasculature and stromal cells. Respiratory airways, also known as respiratory bronchioles, are found only in human lungs and contain a low-cuboidal secretory epithelium.
8 Ιουν 2023 · Here we present the integrated Human Lung Cell Atlas (HLCA), combining 49 datasets of the human respiratory system into a single atlas spanning over 2.4 million cells from 486 individuals.
Discover the anatomy of the right lung, its structure, anatomical relations, and function. Understand its arterial supply, venous and lymphatic drainage, and innervation.
