Market Square (formerly the Western Furniture Exchange and Merchandise Mart, the San Francisco Mart, and, colloquially, the Twitter Building) is an Art Deco building in the Mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco, California, United States.
Hannah Newman Staff Writer The start of the new school year prompted many changes to the Milken campus, including the improvement of the Milken Mart and it’s merchandise. Some of the new merchandise includes tacos, barbecued meats, various salads, and a more extensive variety of ice cream.
Market Street has one of the more rapidly changing skylines in San Francisco. Old buildings and their grungy neon signs are being torn down to make room for shiny new condos, restaurants, and office spaces.
About These Photos. These historical images of San Francisco primarily come from one collector who wishes to remain anonymous. The collection may be the greatest in private hands, amounting to over 100,000 negatives and prints.
Celebrating over 75 years, the Harvey Milk Photo Center is the oldest and largest community wet darkroom in the United States. We also offer a full Digital Lab at our facility to our members.
Important historic center of the old Gay Community in San Francisco, but a failure in urban design. Come for the history and the interesting shopping and dining around, plus some beautiful houses. But this plaza is just ho-hum and in need of a make-over.
