My preferred setup for AWD mini-zs is solid rear diff, open front, stiff springs out back, softer up front, and no gyro. That's pretty much it. You can add a one-way front diff if you want, but I find it's kinda pointless without a countersteer setup .

So now I'm attempting to build a very solid drift AWD Mini Z. List of upgrades I am planning: -locked rear differential (either with glue or the part, haven't decided) -one-way front differential.

From my experience the Mini-z AWD should not need a gyro to drift. I find that the gyro interferes more than it helps.
