Minnesota’s official natural history museum and planetarium is now located on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus in Saint Paul. Take amazing journeys from the far reaches of the cosmos to deep inside the human brain in the Whitney and Elizabeth MacMillan Planetarium.
Immerse yourself in a journey through space and time in our awesome 120 seat planetarium—a community resource that has been missing in the Twin Cities since 2002.
2 Ιουν 2019 · It is run by St. Paul Public Schools and has been in operation since 1975. The 55-seat planetarium boasts a state-of-the-art immersive video system transporting visitors into our solar system. The planetarium is available to the public and groups many Tuesdays throughout the school year.
11 Ιουλ 2018 · Located on the St. Paul campus, the new 120-seat planetarium employs space-age tools for sending visitors anywhere in the universe. “We’re the first in the world to have this kind of screen,” says planetarium manager Sally Brummel. “We can [display] the classic night sky, any time or from any place.”
