3 Ιουν 2020 · Leading Dalit activists and Hindi literary scholars are continually emphasising the continuing role of nirgun bhakti in Dalit communities in contemporary India, and trace a direct line from Buddhist beliefs and practices to nirgun bhakti.
Adivasi literature – written by author coming from a low caste and tribal background – have emerged as important Hindi gen-res. Dalit and Adivasis form the economically most marginalised groups in India. Their short stories, poems and essays, as well as autobiographical texts, are regularly published in important Hindi literary journals.
