7 Νοε 2023 · We term the focal stereotype the misandry myth in light of the evidence that it is false and widespread, and discuss its implications for the movement. Feminism has achieved many impressive advances for women and girls as well as men and boys (Gamble, 2004; Javaid, 2016).
9 Απρ 2024 · But where is misogyny’s supposed counterpart, namely, misandry? In this article, I argue for an ameliorative analysis of ‘misandry’, arguing that it can be reformulated in an effort to reclaim it from misogynistic weaponisation.
The key difference between these two biases is that women have been oppressed by systems of misogyny for centuries while misandry stems from the resulting fear and resentment of women towards their oppressors.
The course Helene von Druskowitz and Modern Misandry consisted of a “small but powerful group” – as Dr. Luka Borsic liked to put it – of students and researchers. The international and intercultural background of the group resulted in great discussions with variegated perspectives on the topic.
13 Οκτ 2021 · This article engages and critiques these theories by focusing on three separate but related issues within existing feminist scholarship on misogyny: the conflation of misogyny with sexism, the elision of misogyny's affective elements and the supplanting of misogyny with gendered violence.
