Legal Aid of Western Missouri provides free civil (non-criminal) legal assistance to people who need it most and can afford it least. Every day, Missourians are denied the basic rights to which they are entitled under the law simply because they can’t afford an attorney.
Legal Aid helps people access basic needs such as healthcare, housing, safety and government benefits. With offices in Kansas City, Joplin, St. Joseph and Warrensburg, Legal Aid serves a 40-county area in western Missouri.
Missouri Free Legal Answers is a virtual legal advice clinic in which qualifying users post civil legal questions at no cost to be answered by pro bono attorneys licensed in their state.
We provide free civil legal assistance, advice and information for low-income people and the elderly in 21 eastern Missouri counties. Clients must meet financial eligibility based on household incomes or meet other qualifications for consultation or representation.
