However, I do not know if this will benefit me in any way in terms of applying to colleges (Harvard, Stanford, MIT). Would it be good to continue CS50 this year, or should I focus my time on something else?
The CS50 curriculum is an attempt by Harvard (via edX, a consortium of universities offering free courses) to expand its image. You'd expect a dozen more courses, plus math, and all sorts of other requirements to graduate.
I recently started the online CS50 program created by Harvard in order to get a basic introduction into Computer Science (my chosen major) and possibly to put on my college application. I will be applying to some high ranking colleges, including Harvard, Stanford and MIT and I am ready to do anything in order to increase my chances of acceptance.

CS50x is our flagship course. This course teaches students how to think algorithmically and solve problems efficiently. Topics include abstraction, algorithms, data structures, encapsulation, resource management, security, software engineering, and web programming. Languages include C, Python, and SQL, plus HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
