Long gone is the recommendation to change your oil every 3,000 miles. In looking at 2014 models, most automakers specify oil changes at 7,500 or 10,000 miles. The shortest oil change interval is 5,000 miles, and the longest is 15,000 miles.
22 Σεπ 2009 · I have always used Mobil 1 and originally was changing the oil every 6 months or 5,000 miles, except for the last oil change where I went about a year and with 10,000-12,000 miles on the cars. What is the oil change interval recommendation/opinion or consensus of the BITOG members for Mobil 1?
26 Ιουλ 2023 · 7,500 miles, or one to two times a year, is becoming the new “normal”, especially for newer vehicles. Most manufacturers and mechanics that use synthetic oils insist that 7,500 miles between an oil change interval is completely normal for just about every vehicle.

10 Φεβ 2009 · No direct injection and no 0w20, Mobil 1 oil and filter should easily go 7500-10,000 miles. I always ran conventional 5000-6000 or 6 months whichever came first. I don't run 0W20, and I can tell you Mobil 1 5W30 will not last 10K miles in any of my vehicles, especially my work van.
Mobil 1 is fully compatible with conventional engine oils, semi-synthetic engine oils and other synthetic engine oils if you need to mix them. However, it is important to note that the superior performance of Mobil 1 will be reduced by diluting it in any way.
If you’re switching to Mobil 1 under either of the circumstances mentioned above, make your next Mobil 1 oil change in 2,500 miles, your third Mobil 1 oil change 3,500 miles after that, and then follow your normal 5,000 mile oil-change interval.
