I haven't tried them, but for what it is, it's a great price! For a small low-wattage tube amp I have a tweed 5f1 "fender champ" style amp I built from a kit, that cost more than twice that, and sounds great with the very simplest of circuits.

22 Ιουλ 2023 · Another really well-priced budget tube amp is the Monoprice Stage Right (or Harley Benton TUBE15 in the UK). This has loads of range with its gain knob to cater to lots of different playing styles, plus everything is delivered by a quality 12” Celestion speaker.

I want to try building guitar amps, and I think starting with a kit makes sense. Looking at maybe a champ like circuit to start. Mojotone comes to mind, but is there a better option?

Had this thing for a couple weeks now and have done some tube swapping, so I thought I'd share my opinions and observations on the MonoPrice Stage Right 5W 8" combo amp, which can usually be found for about $100 USD. This is essentially the same amp as the Laney Cub 8, with a few minor changes. Scroll down for photos. Basic Details:
