Located off scenic highway 1 in Pacifica, Montara State Beach offers beautiful views of the mountainous composition of the nearby Devil's Slide Historical Viewpoint.It was really fun watching the surfers ride the waves when I last visited.
Montara State Beach is a beach located in the coastal region of the U.S. state of California, eight miles north of Half Moon Bay on State Route 1. It is operated by the California State Department of Parks and Recreation under the San Mateo Coast Sector Office.
Montara State Beach is a wide mile-long beach just north of Montara along the San Mateo County Coast. Behind the beach there are stunning sculpted sandstone cliffs and rolling hills of the coastal range making this a very picturesque spot.
8 Απρ 2018 · This is all around one of the best beaches near the San Francisco Bay Area. It's a geological wonderland. There's tons of sand. Parking and pedestrian access are relatively easy. If you're into California geology, this is a must-see beach.
Montara State Beach, located just north of Half Moon Bay along California’s scenic Highway 1, is a stunning coastal gem known for its mile-long stretch of golden sands. The beach is enveloped by rugged cliffs and rolling hills, creating a picturesque backdrop for visitors.
Montara State Beach is a wide sandy beach about eight-tenths of a mile long. The south end of Montara Beach has rich but mostly inaccessible tide pools. Harbor seals occasionally haul out at Montara. The beach is bounded by low hills both to the north and south.
