27 Οκτ 2013 · It was a lot like the square stern ones old town made. It was a great rowing and sailing boat and lasted more than 12 years stored in the North Carolina sun before it was given away. I now own an aluminum canoe and it is not as good of a row boat.

I have fished from both an Old Town square stern with 2.5 hp, a Coleman 17' canoe with a side-mount 2hp, and a Coleman Scanoe (their square-stern model) with I believe a 2.5 or 3hp. Hands down, I preferred the Scanoe. It is very stable, almost indestructible, and was a great buy for my friend.
