In Stardust Crusaders, Muhammad Avdol, also known as Mohammed Abdul, is first thought to have died protecting Polnareff from Hol Horse and Hanged Man's attack. However, he was merely unconscious due to a bullet grazing his forehead. Avdol later saves Polnareff by defeating Cameo.

However, while facing Polnareff, Ice stated that Avdol was responsible for his injuries since he was the one who saved Polnareff and Iggy.
