13 Ιαν 2020 · There are only 2 firing orders for the SBF- 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 (early 289/302) and 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 (5.0 and 351W). The firing order is determined by the camshaft. If you put a 5.0 or 351W cam in a 289 you have to change the plug wires in the cap to match the firing order.

11 Ιαν 2009 · Fords are numbered from front back on the passenger side as 1 through 4 and from front to back on the driver's side 5 through 8. The firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. Hope that helps. Come to think of it, here's a diagram of that.
