Lut (Arabic: لوط, romanized: Lūṭ, ), also known as Lot in the Old Testament, is a prophet and messenger of God in the Qur'an. [1] [2] According to Islamic tradition, Lut was born to Haran and spent his younger years in Ur, later migrating to Canaan with his uncle Abraham. [3]
Prophet Lut (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) loved, respected, and believed in Ibrahim’s (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) message even when everyone ridiculed him. Prophet Ibrahim, together with Lut, traveled far, across land and sea, trying to invite and spread man to the fold of Islam.

Ibrahim was torn into flames as he attempted to deter his people from worshiping idols and stars. But when Allah Almighty ordered the fire, “O fire! Be coolness and peace”, the fire didn’t go out and burn.
Al-Qur'an 29:29. Overwhelmed with despair, Lot prayed to Allah to grant him victory and destroy the corrupt. Therefore, the angels left Abraham peace be upon him and headed for Sodom the town of Lut peace be upon him. They reached the walls of the town in the afternoon.

28 Φεβ 2016 · On hearing this, the mob was terrified and fled from Luut's house, hurling threats at him as they left. The angels warned Prophet Luut, may Allah exalt his mention, to leave his house before sunrise, taking with him all his family, except his wife.
