Polyhedrons are geometric figures of 3D space made up of a series of closed polygonal faces. The number of faces defines the geometric shape of the polyhedron. What is the name of a polygon with…? Indicate to dCode the number of sides and it will find the name. Example: 6: HEXAGON. 12: DODECAGON.
Here is a list of regular polygons from 3 to 10 sides. For each polygon, a regular and an irregular example have been shown. Any regular shape will be mathematically similar to the example shown (having the same angles). Regular shapes are always convex. Irregular shapes can be concave or convex.
Each geometric shape has a unique name (ex. rectangle, square, oval, etc) and geometrical shapes can be easily identified by looking at an image and seeing the shape’s characteristics, such as number of sides, angles, curves, or points.
Polygons are 2D shapes that have a certain number of sides. Their sides are simply joined by straight lines. Another thing to note is that polygons do not have holes, nor do they intersect with themselves. As for the number of sides, they could go on for infinity.
This is a list of two-dimensional geometric shapes in Euclidean and other geometries. For mathematical objects in more dimensions, see list of mathematical shapes. For a broader scope, see list of shapes.
10 Οκτ 2022 · A hendecagon is a flat shape with 11 straight sides. Regular and irregular hendecagons. A regular hendecagon is a 11-sided shape where every side is the same length and every corner has the same angle. All regular hendecagons have the same shape, like this: An irregular hendecagon is a 11 sides shape where not every side and angle are equal ...
Decagon - Wikipedia. In geometry, a decagon (from the Greek δέκα déka and γωνία gonía, "ten angles") is a ten-sided polygon or 10-gon. [1] . The total sum of the interior angles of a simple decagon is 1440°. Regular decagon. A regular decagon has all sides of equal length and each internal angle will always be equal to 144°. [1] .
