The National Development Plan (NDP) or natively known as Rancangan Kemajuan Negara (RKN), is the name assigned by the government of Brunei to a plan designed to carry out Wawasan Brunei 2035 and diversify the economy by putting projects, programs, and initiatives into action. [2]
This Eleventh National Development Plan, the third NDP aligned with Wawasan Brunei 2035, is a 5-year nationwide multisectoral document designed to ensure that the quality of life enjoyed by the current generation will also be available to future generations.
The department is in accordance to Wawasan Brunei 2035, it wants to support Brunei's long-term, sustainable economic growth by providing globally-recognised statistical data, implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP), and planning.
The Eleventh National Development Plan (RKN11) further consolidates developmental efforts in the production of the Non-Oil and Gas sector with the RKN theme of "Increased Non-Oil and Gas Sector Output as Catalysts for Economic Growth".
The Tenth National Development Plan (RKN10) represents the second phase of Brunei Darussalam's Long-Term Development Plan, succeeding RKN9, as a continuation of RKN 2007-2012, and aligns with the overarching goal of realizing Wawasan Brunei 2035 which envisions Brunei as a nation with a highly educated population and a top-tier quality of life.
