31 Μαΐ 2020 · The NATO Meritorious Service Medal is the highest NATO medal awarded by the NATO Secretary General to a select number of military and civilian personnel serving under NATO command and control. The medal is awarded for recognition of distinguished and outstanding service to the Alliance.
Ninety days continuous or accumulated service commencing 1 July 1992 and ending 31 December 2002, in the territories of Italy, Greece, Hungary and Austria, in direct support of the NATO operations in the Former Yugoslavia (the adjacent area).
The NATO Medal for Yugoslavia service was created in June 1992 and awarded to any military member of a NATO peacekeeping force who performed service in the former republics of Yugoslavia for at least thirty days.
