9 Ιουν 2021 · The most significant greenhouse gases, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), are: water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O).
18 Μαρ 2024 · Explore greenhouse gases' impact on climate change, from water vapor to CO2, CH4, N2O, and fluorinated gases. Understand their sources and implications.
13 Μαΐ 2019 · Major greenhouse gases and sources. Carbon dioxide (CO2): Carbon dioxide is the primary greenhouse gas, responsible for about three-quarters of emissions. It can linger in the atmosphere...
The number-two cause of climate change is methane, the main part of natural gas. Methane reflects about 100 times as much heat as CO 2, but its lifetime in the atmosphere is much shorter: about 10 years. Methane is an especially hard greenhouse gas to measure, because most emissions don’t come from industrial plants.

9 Μαρ 2016 · Nature - The biogenic fluxes of individual greenhouse gases have extensively studied, but the net terrestrial biogenic greenhouse gas balance as a result of human activities and its...
15 Νοε 2023 · Overview. There are two greenhouse gas effects - natural and enhanced. The natural greenhouse effect is caused by natural amounts of greenhouse gases and is vital to life on this planet. In the absence of the natural greenhouse effect the surface of the Earth would be approximately 33 °C cooler.
