RuneScape Classic (abbreviated RSC, RS1 or RS Classic), publicly released as a beta on 4 January 2001, is the second version of RuneScape (DeviousMUD being the precursor). It was replaced on 29 March 2004, with what was then known as RuneScape 2.

Date of release Notes 1999-2000 This was an official map, released by Jagex. This was the very first map ever made of RuneScape. It is a prototype of RuneScape Classic's map made by Paul Gower. Note that some locations are mirrored compared to the in-game map.
RuneScape Classic closed indefinitely on 6 August 2018. Prior to this, there were several closing and opening period where the game became acessible to new players provided that they hold active RuneScape pay-to-play membership.
A chart is used for coordinate clues for the Treasure Trail Distraction and Diversion. It must be in the inventory or tool belt, along with a watch and sextant if one wishes to find a coordinate clue.
