Any natural person who knowingly and willfully or with reckless disregard engages in the following activities, either directly or indirectly, as an agent for, as a representative of, or on behalf of an insurer not authorized to transact insurance in this state commits the crime of insurance fraud:

When insured furnished false evidence which was relied upon by the insurance company in reinstating insurance policies the insured was guilty of fraud in law which would avoid the policy, whether the insured was in good or bad faith and whether the insured intended to deceive or not.
