Jury service is a civic duty, and a cornerstone of the American criminal justice system. If you have received a jury summons from Criminal District Court and have questions, please contact the court. Call Criminal District Court (504) 658-9200. Email Criminal District Court. Visit Site.
Can I be excused from jury duty? Persons 70 years of age or older may request to be excused. Individuals under interdiction or incapable of serving as a juror because of a mental or physical infirmity may also request to be excused with a medical note from an attending physician.
