26 Απρ 2022 · If your NYPD-issued Press Card is expired, you may submit an application for a new or renewal Press Card at the PCO's Press Credentials Portal. Will the NYPD honor Press Cards issued by the Press Credentials Office?
Apply for a new Press Card or renew an existing Press Card through the Press Credentials Office. Check the status of an existing Press Card Application including the ability to upload additional supporting media and make modifications if necessary.
Criteria for obtaining a press card are in Title 43, Chapter 16 of the Rules of the City of New York and more information about applying is available on the PCO’s webpage. A press card is not required to engage in newsgathering activity and to work as a journalist in New York City.
NYPD’s office of Deputy Commissioner, Public Information, issues credentials to members of the working press who have need to regularly cross NYPD and FDNY lines. Certain proofs of that need are required. The procedure and application process are detailed on the NYPD Website.
Submit a completed Single Event Press Card application by providing the description (New Year’s Eve Times Square 2024), the date (12/31/2023), and the location of the Single Event (Times Square). PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registration can take up to 30 days to process. As such, we recommend that you begin the pre-registration process as soon as possible.
