Current NYPD-issued press credentials expire on January 15, 2023, and they will be accepted until expiration. The duty to issue press credentials was transferred from NYPD to the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment on January 20, 2022, pursuant to Local Law 46 of 2021. Next.
IMPORTANT: The average processing time for a New York Foreign Press Center credential is two weeks from the date on which all required application materials are received by the Media Relations Officer. An applicant who works in New York City must provide a copy of their NYC Police Department working press identification card. A fee of $60.00 paid with a check, money order, or credit card. The fee may vary depending upon the expiration date of your current registration.
