I'm responsible for several optimisations and the current port. Depending mostly on whether a game utilises the 3D hardware of the DS a lot of games already reach fullspeed without overclocking.

melonDS. DS emulator, sorta. The goal is to do things right and fast, akin to blargSNES (but hopefully better). But also to, you know, have a fun challenge :) How to use. Firmware boot (not direct boot) requires a BIOS/firmware dump from an original DS or DS Lite.
This is going to be a brief and relatively easy to follow tutorial on how to play Nintendo DS games on your Switch. Keep in mind that all of the aforementioned emulators do not currently support a hardware renderer and many games run at slow speeds.

13 Αυγ 2021 · Can You Play DS Games On Switch? Yes, you can play DS games on Switch, but it will take a bit of work to be able to do this. The DS games are not going to naturally integrate into the Switch system. Therefore, you will have to use a combination of homebrew and an emulator.

20 Οκτ 2024 · Since the Nintendo Switch was hacked early in its launch, there has been a lot of interest for emulators due to the Switch's portability. These emulators will only work on Switches with CFW on them, i.e. Switch consoles susceptible to the Tegra hardware exploit.
