Unless I'm missing something it doesn't seem like much of an upgrade at all. It seems the only trade-off is the ability to keep spending money at the reFX shop on expansions. Is anyone able to offer a perspective here?
My guess is that CPU instructions are already more or less a 1:1 match, but graphics and sound differ. But even graphics are bound to be the same at a lower level, so what needs to be emulated is the bridge between the two. I.e I think the hardware is already here, but not the software.
14 votes, 17 comments. Which version will run better, the PS4 version or the PC version? I'm running a laptop with a RTX 3060 (laptop version) in it.
1 Δεκ 2021 · I've spent 440$ in January 2021 buying Nexus 3 and it is just too much for me to pay for the upgrade another 99€/124$ after 10 months. If such upgrade allows one free expansion of choice then the price would be more justified. I spent a similar amount on Nexus 3 and expansions within the past year.

Nexus 4 appears to be a significant boost from 2 and overall be a good iteration. From my limited experience there is no drawback when compared to 2 (cpu probably but I didn't really notice). However the cost does seem prohibitive, especially considering you already have nexus 2.
