  1. $ rpcinfo -p | grep nfs Port 111 (TCP and UDP) and 2049 (TCP and UDP) for the NFS server. There are also ports for Cluster and client status (Port 1110 TCP for the former, and 1110 UDP for the latter) as well as a port for the NFS lock manager (Port 4045 TCP and UDP).

  2. You edit the /etc/sysconfig/nfs on the nfsserver and configure the port with this parameter: MOUNTD_PORT= TCP and UDP would need to be opened on the server side.

  3. 19 Φεβ 2019 · NFSv4 runs on TCP port 2049. The NFS server must accept incoming connections on this port. Unlike previous versions of NFS, this is the only port that is required.

  4. 13 Φεβ 2012 · I've set up an nfsv4 server and it's working fine, however the firewall is blocking nfs even if port 2049 and 111 are open. I know nfs uses some random ports that change at every boot, but how can i make them static so i can use nfs without disabling my firewall again?

  5. After pinning the ports for mountd, lockd and statd, then opening them up in iptables, I am able to expose NFS shares through the firewall with no issues. What I am having a problem with is mounting a share from another NFS server that I have no control over.

  6. 18 Νοε 2015 · Turns out the SERVER needed the three services (nfs, mountd, rpc-bind) added to its firewall (dunno if the client needs all three too; it just happens to have all three in my case). In my case, the client (first NFS server) had it but the server (second NFS server) was missing mountd.

  7. 5 Μαρ 2009 · How do I allow legitimate NFS clients to access the NFS server using RHEL / Fedora / CentOS Linux 5.x iptables firewall? You need to open the following ports: a] TCP/UDP 111 – RPC 4.0 portmapper . b] TCP/UDP 2049 – NFSD (nfs server) c] Portmap static ports – Various TCP/UDP ports defined in /etc/sysconfig/nfs file.
