There are a few simple things you can try that may just fix the error. What was the last item you attached? A different or new lens? A memory card? New battery? Start there. Remove the item you last attached to the camera. If it is a lens, try attaching another lens (if you have one) to determine if it is the camera or the lens causing the problem.
