The Prime Minister's Office - Policy, Parliament, Coordination, Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disability has developed an Online Work Permit Application and Issuance System (OWAIS).
1 TFN 901 THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA APPLICATION FOR WORK PERMIT (Made under section10 (2) of The Non-Citizens (Employment Regulation) Act No 1/ 2015)
This portal allows companies/individuals apply for work permits and residence permit in a single interface.

7 Μαρ 2024 · Meanwhile, Work permits allow foreigners to work or engage in business activities in Tanzania. One can apply for a resident and work permit by making and submitting an application to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Labour, Youth, Employment and Person’s with Disability respectively.
The application form should be accompanied by the following documents; Justification letter (All Classes) Recent passport size photographs (with blue back ground) (All Classes)
1 Μαΐ 2021 · If successfully granted, the Work Permit is valid for two years only, and subject to renewal after every such period, to the maximum of 5 years for employed persons and undefined time for self-employed (Directors and Shareholders of the company) for as long as the business subsists in Tanzania.
