Last week I spoke with a technician at the optical counter and they even verified that LensCrafters can featherweight/thin their lenses a little more than Costco does.
If you wear glasses the optical department is one of the best reasons to have a Costco membership. Quality is on par or better with any of the mall vision stores and the price can't be beat. The last two pairs I got using mediocre insurance from work.
I love Costco Optical Redwood City. Great frames and Michelle is the best optician there. They have great glasses frames for good prices. Dr. Soro is great too for eye exams. Really nice office staff too. Highly recommended!
