13 Απρ 2009 · The 1000D/XS came out in June of last year. All nikon did was replace their lower rung entry level mode. which is paired against the 1000D/XS. The 500D/T1i is paired against the d90 not the d5000. I look for the 1100D/2000D to come out with the XSi updated 12MP sensor and 720p 30 fps video at 3fps and no crippled RAW burst mode like the 1000D had.

12 Ιουν 2009 · A faster sensor, improved autofocus and video see Nikon's third-gen mid-range full-framer go toe-to-toe against Canon's EOS R6 II and the Sony a7 IV. We feel its all-round ability lifts it to the top of the pile.
Since you already have a couple of Canon EOS lenses, I would recommend you take a look at the Canon Digital Rebel XSi. It’s sort of the Canon counterpart to Nikon’s D5000. It also has video and you will be able to use your lenses with it.
Nikon D5000 has a "Nikon DX"-sensor while Canon EOS Rebel XSi has a "Canon APS-C"-sensor, and their difference in sensors will also affect the crop factor and experience focal length. See the table below.
