The Z 28-75mm f/2.8 is a brilliant lens. It's fast, covers a great zoom range, focusses quickly, it's sharp, has little to no distortion, flare or ghosts as shot, has great bokeh and very good sunstars, focuses super-close, is very light weight and reasonably priced.
Compatibility intro top. The manual-focus 28mm f/2.8 AI-s works great with most Nikon cameras, film and digital. It works flawlessly with every manual focus Nikon ever made, from the F of 1959 through the FM3a and today's FM-10.
The 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-D (new) works great with almost every film and digital Nikon camera made since 1977. If you have a coupling prong added to the diaphragm ring (there are even pilot holes for the screws), it's perfect with every Nikon back to the original Nikon F of 1959.

24 Ιαν 2024 · At first glance, the Nikon Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens seems a bit out of place. Nikon already has a 24-70mm f/2.8 S for their mirrorless system, and it’s one of the best lenses we’ve ever tested. Why would Nikon release another f/2.8 zoom with such a similar focal length range?
The 28mm f/2.8 comes in two versions, a legacy-styled SE version that is a kit lens available with the Zfc camera, and the "regular" Z System style (shown above). It's a compact lens at only 2.8" (70mm) long, and a light one, too (5.5 ounces, or 155g).
