melonDS is a Nintendo DS emulator mainly developed by Arisotura (StapleButter). It was first ported to the Switch by Hydr8gon. The goal is to do things right and fast, akin to blargSNES (but hopefully better).
6 Νοε 2024 · NooDS is available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and the Nintendo Switch. Automatic builds are provided via GitHub Actions; to use them, you'll need to install wxWidgets and PortAudio on Linux or macOS (see: Compiling for Linux or macOS).
This is going to be a brief and relatively easy to follow tutorial on how to play Nintendo DS games on your Switch. Keep in mind that all of the aforementioned emulators do not currently support a hardware renderer and many games run at slow speeds.

melonDS aims at providing fast and accurate Nintendo DS emulation. While it is still a work in progress, it has a pretty solid set of features: • Nearly complete core (CPU, video, audio, ...) • JIT recompiler for fast emulation • OpenGL renderer, 3D upscaling • RTC, microphone, lid close/open • Joystick support • Savestates
The improvements to local multiplayer include improvements to wifi emulation itself, which may also improve stability in WFC games. DSi camera support. melonDS had basic DSi camera emulation since version 0.9.1, but it wasn't very useful as it was just feeding a fixed stripe pattern as camera input.
