23 Ιουν 2009 · Nisus does footnotes and endnotes, while Mellel has a free number of note streams. It depends on your needs if you can live with the one, or want the other. Also, Mellel has a much more powerful system of cross-references, inspired and improved over the one in FrameMaker.
17 Οκτ 2009 · How would you compare Mellel with Nisus Writer Pro? Which one is better especially for scholars and professional writers? Since Nisus Writer Pro seems to provide a much better exchange/sharing options (due to its native rtf format), it looks quite appealing.
26 Ιουλ 2003 · Nisus Writer Pro is my word processor of choice, and I think Endnote kicks Bookends' hindparts when it comes to integration into the OS (specifically, the Services menu, which allows for a very cool workflow between Nisus and Endnote).

Nisus is cheaper, has much more features for professional writers, has a very powerful macro engine, and is scriptable. Mellel is not scriptable. Mellel is good for very long documents (700 pages and more), and has a very good outline.
