Crisis Respite Centers provide an alternative to hospitalization for people experiencing emotional crises. They are warm, safe and supportive home-like places to rest and recover when more support is needed than can be provided at home.
S:US’ respite provides a safe, secure and supported home-like environment for people experiencing an emotional crisis through our Crisis Respite Center. It is a unique alternative to a hospital emergency room or inpatient care.
Foundation Place provides parents/guardians with short-term childcare services at our Brooklyn facility that offer temporary relief, improves family stability, and reduce the risk of undesirable circumstances. Respite can be planned or offered during emergencies and times of crisis.
Our expanding Homeless & Runaway Youth Services offer much-needed respite and support for youth who are unhoused, facing challenges at home, and/or need a refuge. Many have experienced violence, abuse, instability, or a lack of safety or acceptance from adults or others in their lives.
