Beginning in fall 2024, the North Star Promise Scholarship program will create a tuition- and fee-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesota residents at eligible institutions, of which M State is one (see complete list below).
Beginning in Fall 2024, the North Star Promise (NSP) Scholarship program will create a tuition and fee-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesota Residents at eligible institutions.
FREE tuition and required fees for all Minnesota students with a family adjusted gross income (AGI) under $80,000 with the North Star Promise Scholarship. The LOWEST tuition in the state.
Beginning in fall 2024, the North Star Promise Scholarship program, which is just one element of the Minnesota State Promise, will provide a pathway to FREE tuition and fees for eligible Minnesota residents at any of the 26 state colleges and seven state universities of Minnesota State. This is Minnesota’s new free college program.
North Star Promise Scholarship Program. Craig Sanderson, director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, is pleased with the NSP. “It’s reducing indebtedness, it’s helping students with the higher costs that are out there and giving them another option to pay for college… which we like to see,” he said.
The North Star Promise will begin to offer awards in Fall 2024, and on an ongoing basis. All public Minnesota higher education institutions and Tribal Colleges will include North Star Promise funds in their financial aid packages for eligible students and families. To apply, you must submit a completed FAFSA Form or Minnesota Dream Act application.
