Founded in 1825, the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History has interactive, educational exhibits, family and youth programs, special events and a significant library and research center to foster and explore a passion for history.
The Northford Center Historic District encompasses the historic village area of Northford in northern North Branford, Connecticut. The basically linear district extends along Middletown Avenue from the village center at its southern end, to a point beyond its northern junction with Old Post Road.

VISION: The Totoket Historical Society, Inc. will be recognized as the premier resource for historical education and the preservation of artifacts pertaining to the heritage of North Branford and Northford.
According to “The History of North Branford and Northford” by Herbert C. Miller, MD the movement to build it was begun shortly after the declaration of peace in 1865. It was erected in 1866. Two other Connecticut towns, Berlin and Bristol, also claim the oldest monument.
The Museum, built in 2002, contains farm machinery and farm implements used in Northford/North Branford in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Artifacts discovered in local archeological digs sponsored by the society are also located here.
