Norton icons and files are missing after restarting your Mac during Norton product installation. Applicable for: Mac. This problem may occur if you have any third-party security software installed on your Mac.
25 Οκτ 2024 · Press Command + Shift + Period (. key) on your keyboard. This will toggle the visibility of hidden files on macOS. You’ll now see hidden files appear in the folder, usually grayed out to distinguish them from regular files. If you want to hide them again, simply press the same Command + Shift + Period shortcut.
1 Δεκ 2023 · Norton 360 for Windows is downloading but failed to validate and install. A red “Error msg” appears, the only option is to delete downloaded files. There is no error code. I am using the latest version of Parallels to run Windows 11 on a Mac. The Mac is Apple M3 silicon.
23 Νοε 2020 · I had to uninstall Norton 360 because of compatibility issues with Big Sur. Even after updating the Norton software to work with Big Sur, my laptop kept restarting every other day, to the point where I couldn't work. Does anyone have any solutions? Should I install the Norton software again? I don't want to be working without a proper antivirus.
1 Απρ 2024 · The Norton 360 for Windows does not appear in system tray. It looks like Windows 11 is using its own antivirus. If I open the task manager, both the Norton Security WSC Service and the Norton Security process are up and running.

If you do not want to uninstall Symantec, collect the Symantec debug logs and then contact Symantec Support. STEP 1. Uninstall Symantec.
The Norton icon is missing in the system tray. To resolve this problem, run LiveUpdate.
